Over the last few weeks I've been hearing a lot of complaints about knee and ankle pain. I've noticed this over the years that as the temperature drops and we start to reach Fall and Winter, joint pain rears its ugly head! My advice to any of you out there who are starting to feel your knees and ankles (or other joints, but those are the 2 most common), START FOAM ROLLING!
Before and after you're workouts, but definitely before! This allows tendons and ligaments around the joints to get some elasticity (and blood flow) before your workout. Ideally, after your workout you would take 10 minutes to stretch your calves, hamstrings, and hip flexors (at the very least) to help prevent back pain and other joint injuries!
